Concrete Patio Shift
My 60 year old patio has cracked and broken on most of its expansions joints, and the two foot squares of concrete are sitting at angles that are real toe stubbers. There are 16 of them. I removed 16 more 30 years ago that were all leaning against the house at the wrong angle, funneling water toward the basement wall. Should I call a concrete leveling company or just replace the whole slab? What degree of angle should these be set at to funnel the surface and rainwater away from the house?

I would replace it all. Mud jacking is an option for concrete slabs but you basically have pavers or stepping stones. You could remove your concrete squares and prepare a proper patio base and re-install the squares but that would not be too different in price from having a whole new concrete slab poured.

You guys have seen my posts and been solution facilitators for MOST of my old equipment and projects. I did a concrete garage floor replacement on my own, so doing a patio should be easier but I was 42 years old when i did that, now I am 72 and projects like I used to do are a bit harder to do now for some reason lol I know a guy who can do it right, but it is going to cost me!
