Deck stain
I have a "Deck" that is basically covered by a Florida room so to speak. 2 years old and gets no sun or rain, covered by trees. Looks brand new.
question is I want to stain it..
What kind of prep work is involved?
I have an idea...just want some advice.
thank you.

Welcome to the forums!
So this room is completely enclosed and not just screened in, correct?
What is the current condition of the decking? Normally you'd wash the decking as part of the prep but that probably isn't feasible. Sanding might be a viable option.
pics would help us better understand what you have - How to insert pictures.

Gee, Marksr, I would think just the opposite. Sanding seems like a drastic way to expose new wood to absorb the stain. OP says the deck is in like new condition, but probably just naturally weathered. No harsh rain or snow. About the only thing I can think of is stains that might be from leaves left on the deck. I would go with a standard deck wash, dry it then stain it to what ever you want. If after the deck wash it seems that it's not good enough then maybe the sanding option.

Thank you gentleman.
I swept it very good, wet it and used Behr's all in one deck cleaner. Let that sit for 15 minutes while keeping it wet. Then deck brushed it Rinsed and reapplied the cleaner in a few area with mold. Brushed again.
The Behr stain I'm using requires a 24 hour dry time. I'll hit it with 2 coats tomorrow. I'll take some photos and try to upload tomorrow.
