Repairing cracked fiberglass piling cap

We have a square 14"x14" piling cap at our marina. Someone hit it with their boat and the corner of the cap split/cracked. Is there a mesh patch and compound I can use to patch it? I've saw some Bondo product that is a self adhesive patch that l looks like it can have Bondo glass applied to it but wanted to know if you all had any suggestions.

That plan isn't to fully repair the cap but patch, give it a decent blended sanding and prime/paint patched area with a similar shade paint.

Have you consider fiberglass cloth and resin applied to inside of cap?

Yes, fiberglass cloth an resin. Bondo glass really doesn't have strength. Treat it like a boat repair.
