Does this color sofa go with the rug?
We need a new sofa and my spouse is worried that it won't work with the rug. I don't want to replace the rug.

Or would we be better going wi this?
Also looking at this one but concerned about the light color + kids

Personally, I'm not a fan of combinations of grey and tan and I see that with the first couch being grey and the rug having tan in it. I would opt for the second of the two, were they my only choices.

Thanks Stickshift.
The color of the first couch is definitely more blue than grey. The color is called “Lake” and the collection is called Tahoe.
It it looks blue on my screen but this is probably going to be tough talking about colors online. The second color is called camel and looks so different on the crate barrel website than in person that I’m worried that it is mislabeled
do you think that a blue sofa would work with the brown tones of my wood floors and the rug. Which is red and tan?

Go to the store and see if they will let you bring a cushion home overnight.
Then you will have a better idea of what it will look like.
Hopefully you will be able to check it in natural light and nighttime when you are using artificial lighting.
Personally I am not a fan of trying to match colors unless it is an exact match.
It will always look like you tried to match the colours but failed.
Better to have contrast then the individual items will have more pop.
I am not an interior designer so the above is just an opinion.

Perhaps you can get a swatch, but no store is going to allow someone to take home a cushion.
What individual items are you talking about?
The blue would be a contrast, but it would also have to match the blue in the rug.
If the blue couch is the same blue as in the rug, it should work, but you should add a couple of pillows on the couch matching another color from the rug to pull it together.
