kitchen island anchoring questions

I just purchased an island from IKEA, and I'm thinking about going through with the installation myself.

Currently my place is located on the fourth floor and has hardwood flooring and a concrete subfloor. Should i drill through the wood and mount anchors into the concrete for my island base? Would gluing anchors to the floor also be an alternative?

I was told that potentially i wouldnt need to. The counter will be quartz, roughly 112inches x 42inches (3cm thick) . So it should weigh a hefty amount, enough that it probably will keep the island in place. Would it make sense to put some nonstick pads at the corners of the base, and with the counter installed, it would theoretically stay in place?

Thanks,

We have only had one non cabinet style island and we never anchored, actually when we moved we took it with us.

I'd start with some felt pads so it could slide around and see if that is a problem, them move up to some type of rubber pad before attempting something more permanent.
