Vapor barrier in hot dry climate?

Remodeling my bathroom. After gutting the bathroom i noticed the exterior wall has no vapor barrier. Only stucco, paper, wire, insulation and sheet-rock. The shower is against part of the exterior wall. Living in a hot dry climate should i put a vapor barrier on this 40 yr old home? If so where?

Its not likely necessary. The kraft paper on your insulation and the paint on your walls is sufficient.
