Edge for tile countertop in kitchen
I am remodeling my 1992 galley style kitchen. Linoleum countertop so badly split for so long that I had a tomato plant spontaneously grow in the crack behind the sink. (!) I want a tile countertop (granite too expensive), but here in Miami I cannot find a place that sells tile with the edge finishing pieces (L- shape, plus inner and outer corners). Everything is granite or pressboard.
Does anyone know of a place that sells this old-fashioned kind of tile? Alternatively, how to get a really smooth edge finish if we use just any old tile from Home Depot or Lowes? Thanks in advance.

For an alternative to the old style tile edge, try looking at Schluter products. Here's a link for their countertop edging, but check out their edging for other applications. LOTS of things that could work using just standard tile. https://www.schluter.com/schluter-us...tertops/c/P-FC
The other possibility is to stop in at tile specialty stores. They'll have lots more options than the big box stores.

Here's another possibility I've used for outside corners that would also work for a countertop edge. It uses bullnose tile/trim. Just a note about this: you have to be very fussy when setting the tile that the edge of the bullnose aligns with the tile below or it won't look all that great.
