Bathroom wall water spots

Hi all!

About 2-3 months ago I noticed that the bathroom walls in our interior bathroom had water spots. I assume this is from the shower steam accumulating on the walls, and then running down.

At first I assumed my fan was not working, but indeed it is. So I went in the attic to see if air was circulating through, and it was.

What is the next thing I should do? Go ahead and replace the fan, perhaps with a stronger version?

A stouter fan might be needed. What type/color paint is on the walls? Some of the darker tints are prone to have spots/streaks from moisture.

Either a better fan or maybe running what you have for a longer period should be the fix.
