Bathroom Medicine Cabinet - Flush vs Recessed
I am renovating a bathroom and cannot decide between flush vs. recessed medicine cabinet. The layout might make it difficult for the recessed cabinet to fit within wall studs. Is there any other considerations I need to make other than "will it fit"?

A flush mount looks like an afterthought to me.
For a recessed cabinet your going to have to open up the sheetrock much larger than the cabinet to allow reframing in a header to support the cut stud and form a frame to attach the cabinet to.

A lot depends on the style of the medicine cabinet. IMO the old fashioned plain ones with a mirror look best recessed but some of the wide ones look nice just mounted over the drywall.
