Large gap between new door frame and wall on exterior door
I had my two old exterior wooden doors replaced with new metal doors. The gap between the frame and walls is almost 6" in some areas. The new also sits in almost 3". I am trying to build a door frame because the drafts are so bad. Any ideas on what I can do? I am not experienced or a huge handy woman. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have already spray foam insulation, but I need to frame it in.

Welcome to the forums.
Can you post some pictures? http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
Did you pay someone to install these doors?

Is the space on the right of the picture where your 6" is?

I'm having a hard time trying visualize what you have, if there is a 6" gap between the door jamb and the wall framing - what are the doors attached to? look forward to seeing the pics.
