Question Where to find a basic exterior door?

See the door below? This simple looking fellow is an entryway into my attic. It's a basic non-hollow door that measures 24"W x 47"H.

I have plans to frame in part of the attic and what I'd like to do is add another door just like this one that will open into the unfinished part of the attic. Thing is, I can't find this type of door anywhere...Home Depot, Lowe's, Meek's...nothing. The best I can find was a full-size pre-hung external door from Lowe's but the ceiling isn't high enough to support the door and I don't think you can cut those down to size.

Any thoughts on where I should be looking for this? Or is there some way I could make something like this myself?

Thanks!

You would need to go to a lumber yard, not a box store. Your door is likely just a cut down version of a flush/smooth solid core exterior prehung Masonite or fiberglass door. I assume there is no sill on the door (judging by the distance from the hinge to the floor they cut the sill off too) and it looks like they added a door bottom sweep. Probably something you can diy if you are handy. But any major lumber yard with a door department could make you a door to order, you just give them the specs.

A box store can likely order a full sized door in that is the right kind/ right width, but you would have to cut the height down.

Appreciate the info. Going to hit up a couple lumberyards and see if they can custom make a pre-hung one at that size without breaking the bank.

Keep in mind you will likely want them to make you an exterior door with weatherstrip and a sill with a adjustable threshold... it may cost a little more but will be weathertight. A standard solid core interior door could also be made into a prehung, but you would probably need to add your own weatherstrip as they may have done on the door you have pictured.

try Habitat For Humanity. You might find a good door you can cut down to size for about $50 or less. Most are second hand or removed from building sites and donated. Some good bargains there.
