Replacing Andersen single pane basement window

Replacing Andersen single pane basement window

Looks like I have to remove 4 nails then slide the new piece in. Not sure how to remove the nails. I can't use a pry bar. Everything is wedged together so it will break the wood. My only thought was drilling the nails out

Any ideas?

It's single pane
New window is 160$
Someone to replace it 135$
Lexan for me to replace it 20$

Help please

It's usually best if you use a fine nail punch and drive the nails out the other side. Once they start to poke out the other side you can pull them through.

Follow Xsleeper instructions. When you begin to take the sash apart, do it carefully since there is sealant in the groove that really holds the glass jn and it must be thoroughly cleaned before installing the new glass.

May I suggest glass block window instead?
