thermal window replacement costs ... fair?

Hello all,
I have a broken double pane window, around 31" x 33". I had a guy out for a quote for replacement and he said it would cost between $ 350 and $ 400 for the window and labor. I am in Austin, TX.

Is this a fair price?

Thanks,
Sal

Depends... Are you talking about just replacing the glass or the entire window?

just the glass! it is the portion of the window that doesn't slide.

Might be a fair price in Austin. It takes 2 trips to fix it... Once to measure, once to install. I charge $250 on average.

Any commercial glass shop can do this so you could call around for estimates. You would think the closest glass shop would give you the best price.
