Hinges
I got a shed and the outside regular door has barn hinges on it. So I want to put regular security hinges on it but how to I mortise the jamb without using a chisel? Are there devices (guides) I can buy in Lowes or Home depot that allow me to use a router to cur the mortise?
Thanks

Home Depot has a Ryobi hinge jig that works pretty well. It's about $25... and mounts on the door itself... but will not work on the jamb.
Milescraft makes a hinge mortise template that screws onto either the door or the jamb, it also works okay. Bought mine at Menards, about $15. The trick with it is marking the center of the hinge since it has a groove to align the center each time... all you need to do is measure carefully. Lowe's carries this too.
A palm router (laminate trimmer) works best for this type of fine routering.
