Commercial Door Stripped Screws

I go to Gym in a commercial strip. We have high use with the metal door. It has knuckle hinges. The screws are through the frame into metal studs. The to hinge screws have stripped out of the studs. I've tried larger screws but time from heavy use they pull it again.

Not sure if we can remove the frame and install a 2*4.

I'd suggest you cut the drywall open and add some framing inside the steel stud from the inside.

Same idea as xsleeper but I would open area and see if you could add nuts and washers first. You might want to try to glue the nuts and washers in place so if you have to take door off for some reason in future you can reinstall it.

Replace the hinges with this continuous hinge made for commercial doors. https://www.tmhardware.com/Roton-Con...Geared-Hinges/
