flex duct skin is crumbling

I have 8"-12" flex ducts running in the attic. The skin (?) is flaking off, I mean small shiny pieces. What can I use to wrap these ducts with?
Thank you.

Best and easiest would be to replace the duct. If the shiny pieces look like really thin aluminum foil the reflective aluminum layer is separating. You can try wrapping it in tape but there is only so much you can do. I would just let it go or replace with new duct material.

The "easiest" way seems to be replacing the whole thing. Thank you, Will do.
