Cool vent use for unused chimney?

HI, in replacing my old gas furnace, the old chimney is now unused. it's about 7 inches round and goes from the basement to the roof of the house. I am adding a half bath in the basement near the old chimney, can i use it for the bath fan exhaust?

My only thought is if the air you pump into the chimney is moist. It might condense and cause rot over time.
Might you ever want to tap into the chimney to add a fireplace some where some day?
You might ask your city for the code on this. Could be a problem selling if it's not code.
