Vents on side of home
Can anyone tell what type of vent is on the left side. I'd like to fix this but I'm having a difficult time identifying what type a vent I'm trying to purchase.

It's very hard to tell from the picture. An outside vent cover is usually over the top of an open duct line. That would be the same for a bathroom exhaust fan as well as a dryer vent. In that picture we don't see an open duct. I don't think that's a flapper still there. It almost looks like some type of audible device possibly from an alarm.

You have the eyes on the item, what is it connect to on the inside, agree doesn't look like a duct!

Looks more like a cable or phone box that lost its lid. Can't tell from the fuzz what's on that disk.

Vent
They are holes. There doesn't seem to be air coming in or out of it. I can't find where its attached to. That area on the opposite side of the wall is my garage. It's where my furnace and water heater are. All pipes go to ceiling.

See if you can determine when air comes out of the right side. It's either the furnace or the dryer.
If it's the furnace..... the other one may be a fresh air in to the furnace.
Usually the dryer would use that type of hood while a furnace would have a bare pipe or some type of angle fitting. If it's the dryer vent.... the other one may be some type of fresh air in makeup for the area.
