Bath fan replacement

Hi all,

I'm in the process of replacing my bath fan and I've come to a little issue. My fan is original to the house 1985 so 34 years old and it's loud but it still works. I bought a replacement and took out the old but then I realized that the vent is hard plumbed. The tube is on the left hand side of the opening and every fan I see has the outlet on the right.

Is this an old style? It's on the first floor so I have no access to the tubing without ripping up the ceiling. Anyone have any idea what my next step would be?

Thought about cutting back the tube as far as I can reach and add a section of flex tubing but maybe I'm just over thinking it

Some motor/blower units are replaceable. The motor plugs in and 2-3 screws hold it in place.
Probably a Nutone fan and those parts are available.

You could use a short piece of flex to make the connection.
Can you turn the fan unit around so the exhaust lines up ?

The only way to turn it would be upside down, maybe I could turn it on the side and run some flex pipe there... I think I'd still have to cut back the pipe a little. This thing was definitely well installed, it's a perfect fitment if it wasn't so loud I would definitely keep it but it vibrates the second floor so it has to go.

I love an optimistic attitude!

Mine is old too, but it's a Pryne and I know no parts are available so I justify not replacing it by saying that sometimes you don't want a bath fan to be too quiet.
