Maytag Timer

Hi all, My brother replaced the timer in my Mother's(stay with me) Maytag A208 washer and I think he mis-connected a wire or two. I've searched the net for a wiring diagram or color coded schematic with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks

Pretty old washer, what is the washer not doing. I have had very little problems with timer on that washer. If I remember right the wiring diagram was taped to the back panel but been several years since I worked on one.

I believe its 30 years old and has performed like champ till now. My brother connected the new timer and when he pulled the knob nothing happened leading me to suspect the timer mis-wiring. I'm going over there tonight to take an in depth look. In researching this washer it seems the wires are numbered corresponding to the numbers on the timer so it should be fairly straightforward from here. If the wiring is correct I'm at a loss as to the next step.
