Household Frig/Freezer Issue
I replaced the freezer fan yesterday after the original stopped working. While it runs great, it seems to run all the time. There are 2 connections from the old and the new one has three. I picked the brain of an appliance repairman and he hooked up the new plug-ins. However, there one connection blade that is unused. Is there a sensor that should be hooked to this to control the "on/off" of the fan?

Welcome to the forums.
An additional wire would probably be a ground connection. Those motors are usually one speed-one voltage which means they only need two wires to operate.
With most fridges.... the fans run when the thermostat calls for cool along with the compressor.

Many years back refrigerators had internal fans that would run continuously except when the door was opened. These kept much closer temperatures throughout the box but the continuous fan was eliminated in order to lower the overall power consumption. Personally, I would rather pay a little more for the operational cost (power) and have better temperature control. Just my opinion.
