Removing front contol panel

Maytag MF12569VEW2 refridgerator/freezer,in my previous post I thought the control panel could be removed by taking the 2 screws behind the tray out,but that's not the case,anyone have any insight on this?

I don't know anything about your particular refrigerator but I found out on my Whirlpool that in addition to visible screws there are often plastic clips that need to be depressed in order to remove parts.

I used plastic tools for removing automobile door panels, running them around the visible seams of the parts in order to find the hidden clips. Be careful as the clips can break rather easily.

Look under dispenser. I have never taken that one off but like Furd said a lot of them just pop off. Some will break before clips loosen.

Want to attempt repair of GE upright freezer

We've had this freezer for years, given to us by my stepson. Worked great when we first got it...about 12 years ago. Then one day, it just quits working. We noticed the inside temp dropping, and transferred everything we had in it to our refrigerator freezer. Lucky for us, it wasn't much. Our side-by-side freezer will BARELY hold a turkey! So, some years later, I've pulled the upright out from the wall to see if there was something I could visually notice that was unusual. Nope. Just for the heck of it, I plugged it in, and let it run for about 30 minutes, to see if anything good happened. Nada. there's virtually no noise at all coming from it, and the inside temperature never dropped a single degree, ( still room temp ). Seems to me that's normal...I mean vs any LOUD noises. I read somewhere that checking the pins on the compressor is where I should start, to check for continuity, or open circuit. I'm not THAT knowledgeable with electrical terms, so how do I know if I have continuity, or an open circuit...using an analog meter? What steps should I take next? I kind of NEED to repair this upright, vs buying a new one...IF I CAN DO IT without dropping a small fortune into it, because we're retired, disabled, and just can't afford to buy a new deep freeze, and we're ( the wife and I ) wanting to start trying our hand(s) at homesteading, to a certain degree. The freezer would be essential in that case. Any suggestions and / or advice would be greatly appreciated, especially if someone has a cheap, BUT SAFE fix for the unit. Oh, I almost forgot. These "tests"...with a meter, whether it be pins on the compressor, or, say, a relay, should all be done with the unit unplugged, correct? Good evening all, Iv just had a new kitchen fitted and was looking at getting a montpellier wine fridge that is integrated into the kitchen units. I think they look great, me and the wife love our wine as well. I was wondering whether any body had any experience with wine fridges and if so what your thoughts are?
