Frost buildup in Kenmore side by side.

I have a Kenmore side by side model#106.56864600 that has frost buildup in the freezer side and also on one of the vents in the refrigerator side. I cleared the vent out in the fridge side but it still seems to have frost in the freezer. The fridge side seems to be a little warm because of all this, is it the defrost element or maybe the sensor for the defrost? I appreciate any help.

That's a Whirlpool built fridge.

It could be a defective defrost element or thermostat.
Your defrost is controlled by sensors and an electronic board so everything needs to be checked before replacing that.

I would start by removing the kick panel and looking for a tech sheet. It may be taped to bottom of fridge. That will tell you how to start a defrost cycle.

Also... check and see if the freezer fan is working. You may have to hold the door (light) button in. This fan moves air thru the coil and into the fridge.
