can you operate a regular dishwasher with out a countertop?
Reno'd my kitchen and there's a hold up on my new counters. Have electrical and plumbing in place though.
Question: can a regular dishwasher be operated safely if it's not attached to the countertop? It's on the end of a peninsula so it has the top and one side exposed until the new counters are installed.
We've been having to hand wash dishes in the bathroom sink for over a week and I'd REALLY like to just use the dishwasher if possible. However I'm not certain if those little screws that attach to the counter are simply to keep the machine in position or of they actually do something (like keep it from tipping when you open it or moving around when in operation).
Thanks

No problem operating but when you open the door the DW will tilt forward. Put a brace over the back to stop it or use the side mounts.
