Appliance Model Research
Does anyone know of a way to find the Kenmore equivalent of an appliance brand?
For example, I'd like to purchase a model of Brand X. If there is a Kenmore model of the same, I'm good with that. But pictures on the Sears site don't tell the whole story.

Only the appliance manufacturer would have that information and as far as I know.... it does not get published.

I think the chart CircuitBreaker linked to is pretty good and interesting.
Not all Kenmore appliances show the manufacturer, but I have a Kenmore Elite slide in convection oven and the rear panel clearly states it was made by Electrolux.

That chart will show who manufactured a specific Kenmore appliance but it won't help to inter-match models. The only way to possibly match model for model is possibly thru the service information. As a service tech I know many models of Kenmore appliances and what there brand specific counterparts are. However there are many more models that I have no idea.

Kenmore is a brand name and does not make any appliances. Most common manufactures of Kenmore are whirlpool, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool has not made Kenmore alone for several years.
