Whirlpool washing machine problems

I have a Whirlpool washing machine that stopped working today. It's a WTW4800BQ and what happened is this: I loaded it up and it seemed to be working fine. However the clothes were wet as if it didn't rinse and spin. I tried to rerun the cycle but it now gets stuck in 'wash' and when I hit the start button it goes back to 'fill'. I bought the washer in September 2014 and I also bought a 3-year protection plan, which of course has expired. Any ideas or suggestions or questions please feel free. Thanks. Rich

You missed a digit at the end. Using WTW4800BQ0 ...........................

Using the tech sheet which can be found in the control area of the washer.... you need to put the machine into diagnostic mode. That will run the machine thru a test cycle and let you know where a problem is. The link below should be your tech sheet too.

Tech sheet W10280489-Rev-D.

Tech sheet on that washer is taped to the front panel inside. Sorta a pain to get to. Use the one Pete sent. Did the water drain? Have found socks in pump many times.
