Dishwasher detergent dispenser cover not opening
We just installed a new Bosch Ascenta dishwasher (after some trials and tribulations getting it fit into the cabinet and hooked up).
We ran our first wash cycle and ... the dishwasher door cover didn't open. The pod is still in there, dry, and the dishes have some spots of water on them but are still otherwise dirty.
Any idea what could be going on? Thanks.

Is this a new dishwasher? It should be covered under warranty.
If it's an older/used one, there isn't much you can do with the dispenser. I replace them. Luckily they're not too expensive and it's pretty easy to do.

Make sure the path for the doorway is not obstructed. Had a GE machine in the past where the detergent door would hit large pots, preventing it from opening.

Update: It turns out it wasn't a dishwasher problem -- it was a water flow problem. Once we got the hot water flowing better, the dishwasher actually worked (weirdly, it had worked sometimes -- it must have been just borderline to what it needs).
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

Water fill is a timed function so that if it were restricted there wouldn't be enough water to wash.
I've never seen water level have any effect on the soap door.
