GE Triton XL dishwasher won't drain

16 yr old dishwasher Model GSD6700G00GB has never needed maintenance, but now won't drain completely. Fixed the drain line by raising it higher than the disposal; but it's not getting warm so the water isn't reaching it. Tried the baking soda/vinegar several rounds, then boiling water. No kinks in hose. Dishes seem to get clean; but after cycle, water sits up to door. Can see the motor spinning fast when front panel is removed; could there be a second motor for the drain?

thanks!

I couldn't find that model number..... so I used.....GSD6700G00BB.

That unit does have a separate drain pump. It's 325 in the pictorial. It's connected to the sump with a flapper (check valve) and a clamp. You may have to remove the pump assembly from the sump to find the clog. Also make sure the motor is actually running when in drain mode.

Thanks so much for the guidance, Pete! Very useful and encouraging.
learned the drain pump is not running at end of cycle; so have ordered a replacement that will arrive in two weeks. Not looking forward to handwashing dishes but...

Happy and Peaceful New Year Pete!
