Kenmore Fridge begins leaking after house water heater replacement

I recently had my hot water heater replaced and it required the whole house water be turned off at the main. The next morning the water dispensenr on my fridge was not working either then or shortly afterwards there was also a large puddle under the fridge). I changed the water dispenser filter and ran a small wire up the dispenser tube and water dispenser worked after that. I also vaccummed out the full drain pan and cleaned coils . Next morning , puddle was back. So next I turned off the water and left it over night, remained dry.
I now have turned the water back on, but turned off the icemaker and am just waiting to see if it begins leaking again.
Can anyone give me any insight into where or what may be causing the leak? I dont see any obvious problems inside, no water or icing as far as I can tell.

Welcome to the forums.

It sounds like the ice maker fill valve wasn't closing but usually when that happens there is water inside the freezer compartment. You'd expect the ice bin to be full of water too.
