Safe to use zip ties in a dishwasher?

My dishwasher has fold down tines that would collapse on its own if fully loaded. I can prevent the collapse with a few zip ties. And if I ever need to fold down the tines again, I can cut off the zip ties.

But is it safe to use zip ties in a dishwasher? Would they melt? Release toxic chemical? Wear out and break?

Are there other type of temporary fasteners that are safe to use in a dishwasher?

Zip ties should be fine in there . Ones that carry a UV rating may hold up better to high heat.
