No water in dish washer (GSD650X-68WB) after ran with water off.

So somehow the water line to my dishwasher got switched off and my girlfriend ran the dishwasher. After discovering the water was off, I turned it back on and ran the dishwasher only to find out there was (almost) no water being released ( there is a sizzling sound around the element if I allow it to run for 10 or so min but no water on dishes and the only moisture I feel is in the water inlet area. I've already tried tapping the overflow sensor to see if the floating sensor was stuck to no avail. Before replacing the water inlet piece I'm just curious if anyone else has any other suggestions. Thank you!

How do you know water is at the washer inlet valve?

Welcome to the forums.

You'd need to check the fill valve for 120vAC when it should be filling.

I believe water is reaching the inlet valve because after running the washer I ran my finger around the edge of the valve and it was wet. It was also the only evidence off moisture I could find
