Question Refrigerator Air Circulating Fan

We have a Whirlpool all-refrigerator, Model EL88TRRWS. It has gotten into the habit of occasionally stopping cooling. When I remove the cover on the inside back of the unit, there is some ice on the coils, but not enough to really cause problems. The air circulation fan is not running. I use a blow drier to warm the coils and associated components. Then, when I give a fan blade a "nudge", it starts running, and all is well for several months
Is it likely that the fan is the problem, or just a symptom of the problem?
Thanks,

EL88TRRWSxx ...... there are two more characters at the end.

More than likely..... the fan motor is bad.
The OEM part number is WP3-80411-103.

Thanks Pete, The full number is EL88TRRWS01. At the partsdirect it shows that WP3-80411-103 does not fit this model. But, it also does not show a part that does fit this model. At the EL88TRRWS01 page, there is a part called a freezer fan, but, again, it is said to not fit.
Additional thoughts?

Based on the full model number it calls for a WP3-60336-001 motor.

There may be others that will work but may require slight modifications.
