Dryer Hookup

Hi

I just moved into a new house. We have a 4 year old electric washer but can’t plug it into the outlet. They are both three prong. Is there an adapter or cord change I can do? Tough to explain without giving photos but I can’t figure out how to post them

are they 110 outlets? Maybe the previous owner had a gas dryer? They don't require 220.

Hi, if the plug and receptacle are the same configuration it should work, if it truly a new house, it probably has a TAMPER PROOF receptacle and they sometimes are hard to get a plug into, try plugging a lamp or the like into it.
