Dishwasher arms not spinning
I have a Whirlpool Gold series dishwasher that has 3 arms. The bottom and middle are not spinning but the top one is. I've cleaned the arms and the sump area and filters with no results. I removed the upper rack with the middle arm attached and ran water from a garden hose thru the tube and while water shoots out of the arm holes, it still doesn't spin. Does anybody have any other ideas I could try.

No model or age listed.
Typically that's cause by reduced output from the main wash pump which is usually caused by a blockage into the pump.

Do you have the tech sheet?
It is usually behind the kick plate
Perhaps the following will help.

Often a low fill van cause this.
Check that it is getting enough water.
If in doubt add some hot water just after a fill.
Also this unit uses a diverter that can cause problems.
Just be careful not to overfill it.

The water level is at the bottom of the heater element so I figured it was correct. I didn't realize that it had a diverter so I will look into that further. Thanks for the info and link Manden.
