dishwasher thermal fuse keep blowing.

whirlpool gu2300xtvq1
Power go out during wash cycle and leave water in the tub.

Did you replace the wires and connectors when you replaced the thermal fuse ?
A loose connection on it will cause a new one to blow out quickly.

hi pjmax,
i checked the wiring to and from the thermal fuse. there is no loose connection or burn marks. anything else to check?

When you received the replacement fuse it should have come with new wires/connectors.
You have to use those.
Otherwise there is no way to be sure that it is not a machine problem or the known and frequent failure of the original fuse assembly.

hi pjmax and manden,
i have been ordering the thermal fuse alone without the wiring harness, because my unit did not have the similar harness to replace. Then i heed your similar advises and look for a thermal fuse for my unit with a wiring harness.
the internet also told me that the wiring harness will act like a heat sink to prevent the fuse from blowing and that you also have to splice the wiring to the thermal fuse to install the new thermal fuse with wiring harness. I have installed the new thermal fuse together with the wiring harness and have ran 3 full dishwashing cycle without blowing a fuse. thanks for your advise.
