Washer making squeaking noise

I have an amana top load washer and it was making a loud banging noise so I replaced the shocks and solved that problem, but now it makes a loud squeaky noise and I can’t figure out why replacing the shocks would make that noise. I know the shocks ride in the plastic cups but it shouldn’t make that noise and more importantly how do I fix it?

any help would be great.

Your problem may be a loose belt. Call a parts site with a help desk and tell them your symptoms and they will get you what you need. Amanaparts.com is good start. Be sure to have your model number.

I guess it could be and I will check into it but I think it is from the shock replacement. It is making a squeaky noise but not as high pitched as I have seen with belts. It’s like the two plastic pieces of the shocks are scrubbing and making a squeaky noise. But they only fit together one way which is a ball and socket joint.
