How to Pause and Soak Towels in LG Washing Machine
We moved into a rental with an LG Front Loader Washing Machine model# WM2050C. We’ve only used Samsung and Whirlpool front loaders in the past.
In both those machines, I regularly washed towels and kitchen rags which have retained odors,
I allowed them to soak in the washing machine drum at the end of the rinse cycle for at least one hour in hot water and baking soda.
This worked so well remove the mildew odors.
And on those models I could easily
PAUSE the machine and allow the towels to soak, then I could easily resume the cycle.
I cannot figure out how to do this on my LG machine despite reading the manual.
The machine allows itself to pause for only a short period of time before automatically shutting off.
I also cannot gauge how much time is left in a cycle despite the displayed time.
Surely there must be a way I can PAUSE the Rinse Cycle and possibly even custom program it.
Any help is much appreciated.

Maybe not and it might be a moot point as there might not be enough water in there to cover everything anyway. I would pre-soak in the first place and recommend you look into that.

Welcome to the forums.
You're in trouble. Your LG washer has Neuro-fuzzy logic to control cycle lengths.

There would not be any way to reprogram the 4 minute max. pause time in a machine like this.
All the programming is stored in permanent memory.
You can program a cycle but not a single function.
Very rare to find a free service manual but there is one for your machine.
Be sure to download it as a PDF for future reference.
There is a program chart that illustrates cycle lengths.
