Microwave hood/fan cover keeps falling off???

Ive attached some pictures of my stupid frigidaire microwave - this thing has done nothing but suck - but i guess thats not the point. It seems that somehow the top cover has come loose and does not want to stay in place any longer. None of the tabs appear to be broken, and it kind of just pops back into place. But one heavy handed slam of the microwave door and that hood cover comes flying off and crashing down onto anyone and anything unlucky enough to be directly under it. Does anyone have any tips or fixes that would keep this thing in place? Thanks!

Your MW should have screws at the top left and right. The bottom has tabs, but the top does not.
Usually to install a grille, you open the door, insert the bottom tabs, push in the top, and then insert the screws from above to secure it.

unfortunately there are no screw holes in mine (should be able to see in pics) although i suppose i could just find a couple screws to punch through the top metal into the plastic piece of the cover

Pretty lame.

You could drill a hole where the pink dot is and use a small self tapping screw.
Other thought... what is that circled screw doing ? If nothing... remove it and use a small cable tie where the red line is.
