Bathroom fan & light problems
I am replacing an old fan/light unit in a bathroom. I have wired a duplex switch pair and connected the fan & light to the old units' cables. so far so good, but...:
OFF & OFF turns the light ON and leaves the Fan OFF
ON & OFF leaves everything OFF
OFF & ON turns everything ON
ON & ON turns Light OFF and Fan ON
The old unit broke some time ago so I can't really comment
on how that used to work, but I would really appreciate any suggestions as to what is going on here.

Welcome to the forums.
We need more information.
If you installed a duplex switch that means you need to have a three wire cable between the switch and the fan OR 2) two wire cables.
You could tell us what colors you have at the fan and the switch.
Pictures of the wiring is good too. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
