Welcome to the forums.
It could very well explode in your face.
That dell charger is 19vdc at 3-4amps.
Depending on what type of battery it is....... it probably needs around 12-14v at 50ma.
What type of battery is it..... is there a part number on it ?
Do you have to take it out to charge it ?

What battery are you trying to charge; lead, Nicd, NiMh, LiFe, LiPo??? Regardless of what type it is you cannot use that laptop charger. But, when you know what type battery you have you can figure out what it needs for charging.
