Wall switch not working after new outlet.

I know to snip brass tab to isolate top portion of outlet so it can be controlled by the wall switch. The one I have a question on has 1 white wire , 2 black wires and 1 red wire. White wire by itself, the others all on the brass side. Is the process the same to get the outlet controlled by the switch? Just snip the tab between the 2 brass screws? Thanks

Assuming this is cable you are missing a white wire. Please look again. Tell us all the wires at the switch and how they are connected.
