So convoluted on how to post in forum. Please help improve.

I tried to post a new thread to the forum. I had looked through all possible links, but none brought you to any "Post New Thread". Then I've found the below link from someone in past forum. With this link, I saw the "Post New Thread" button and so I can start the post I am writing now.

Electrical - AC & DC - DoItYourself.com Community Forums

The issue is that without memorizing and typing this address, I have no clue how I can get there from previous link. I am pretty sure a lot of newcomers will run into the same problem as mine.
Can someone please help me to navigate to that link?

Thanks.

Click on any general category.
Near the top of the page, just above the general topic title, on the left-hand side is a yellow button that has the words Post New Thread.
Click on the yellow button.

Now something for YOU to do.

Go to the top right-hand side of any page. Click on My Profile.
Go to Forum Actions (drop-down menus) and click on Edit Profile.
Scroll down to Additional Information.
Fill in your Country, State of Residency and City of Residency.

Scroll to bottom of page and click yellow button Save Changes.

This information is often vital in getting you the best answer to your questions.

Welcome to the forums.

You need to pick the right category where you want to post. Click on FORUMS in the big black bar on top of every page. Then select the sub forum you want like gardening or electrical or etc. The post new thread button is at the top of every forum.

Or do what you did to get to the category you want.

If I'm not sure where to post a new thread I'll search for a similar subject, find out where they posted then just back up from that forum until I get to the "POST NEW THREAD".

Once you get used to it, it won't seem so hard.

Good news.... Dave has opened a thread pertaining to his problem.

I'm going to close this as it is no longer necessary.
