5 x 8 bathroom rewire

In florida so 2011 NEC (I think?)

Haven't wired a bathroom in 5 years, need to know if anything has changed.

Used to be you can wire one 12/2 and put lights and sink GFCI on it, as long as you don't leave room. OR 14/2 for lights (shared branch with other rooms), and 12/2 dedicated for sink GFCI.

Is this still the code? Anything else change in last 5 years I need to know about?

Any real reason not to do the first (12/2 for everything)? 5x8 bath will only have 1 blowdryer running at a time so not likely to trip...

Yes, a dedicated 20 amp circuit for both GFCI receptacles and lights is okay if it only serves one bathroom. Lights do not need GFCI protection in most cases.
