Making use of dead hot tub wire

Just spent last weekend deconstructing a hot tub. Used a sawzall and circular saw, forgot to wear long sleeves and now I look like I have the plague and man does it itch. Anyway I have this beautiful (what looks to be size 6) wire running to a great place to put an outlet. Can I just just swap out the breaker with a 20amp and throw a GFI on the other end.

As always, thanking you in advance.
Scott

Not if it's a wire but yes if it is a cable and you have a black, white, and bare wire in the cable.

You could also install a small panel if needed. The existing conduit would need to terminate in a box. A gfi could be installed if you have individual conductors in conduit. You would need the weatherproof in use cover and a weather resistant GFI.
