Laundry room breaker panel in new home
Hi all my question is can I put my dryer next to (left side) and under the breaker box the door on the breaker will open to the right and I can reach all the breakers
the room is off a hallway, size of the room is deep enough for the washer and dryer and 6 feet wide. in the picture the room is in the center where the compressor is the breaker box is on the left I will take a new picture if need be. I am building this house myself thanks

All I can tell you is there must be 36" in front of the panel and a working area of 30 wide and 6 1/2' tall. It is difficult to tell from the picture how deep the closet will be, nor in which direction your appliances will face. If you are facing in that closet and your appliances are toward the back wall, then you will have no problem where you propose to install the panel.
Unrelated to your question, but since the panel will be on an interior wall, you will need a disconnect at the meter base and, depending on local code, the entrance could be required to be in conduit from the disconnect to the panel, so plan on that. Check with your code inspector regarding what they will expect as early as possible. Easier to do it now than to do it on inspection.

You essentially need to be able to slide a refrigerator box 30"W x 36"D up to the face of the panel without hitting an obstruction. The panel need not be centered in the 30"W. If the panel is near a door, you are allowed to open or close the door if necessary to meet the required clearances.

Welcome to the forums.
Then that would mean you would be reaching over the dryer from the hallway to get to the breakers.
In order to work on the panel you would need to be on top of the dryer.
Basically the picture you posted is useless.

so if the dryer is on the left pulling it (dryer) out to work on the panel is a not allowed? I guess I can stack a pair on the right. no door will be used here it will be something that slides like you put on a sliding door for shade if you know what I mean

That closet is not deep enough for a washer and dryer to go tandem. Where will the washer be? I may not be seeing this the way Pete is. I am envisioning the washer and dryer along the long wall. Pete is seeing along the left wall. Which will it be?

Correct. You must have a clear space in front of the panel.

Or put the subpanel in a more accessible place so you don't limit your choice of washer and dryer. It could be placed facing into a hall way. You are allowed to cover it with a picture or a hinged faux cabinet door if aesthetics is important.

I can't get you to answer the question in post 2 and 7. Tell us which way the washer and dryer will be positioned in the room. Along the long wall or one on each short wall. It's not making sense.

With the interior measurements of the room, the dryer will overlap the 30" required by code. Can the panel be put in the adjacent room, just turning the panel 180 degrees??

no the air handler is on the left of the drawing and behind this drawing is the master bath the washer and dryer would be placed to the right in this picture the panel is installed in the middle of the 42 inch wall on the left it will be 12 inches between the panel and washer but I can just buy a stack washer and dryer and put them on the right

So why not use a better location for the panel? The cables can easily be extended.
If the inspector thinks it is just a closet he will red tag it because the panel can't be in a closet.
then again the washer wont be their for the final anyway

no really don't want to splice my runs and it will not have a door and it just me and my old lady that's going to be living their and a stacked unit will be fine for us, the opening is 5 feet and the room is 6 feet wide ill just see what he says and take it from that point..

A panel can be in a closet, but not near easily ignited materials. The proper clearances are still needed.
