Under cabinet lights wiring

Just wanted to see everyone opinion on how to wire in under cabinet lights. Is it better to use hardwired or put receptacles up in the cabinets and use the plug in type?

I like to use LED strip lights and wire them using low voltage wire. (18/2 stat cable) Install a switched receptacle in a cabinet, or basement, and run all your runs to that location.

If you want to use "real" fixtures I would recommend direct wire and fixtures that are "Linkable". That way you only need to feed each section once. I still would recommend LED for fixtures.

Cord connected fixtures or puck lights are a last resort as it is hard to conceal the wires.
