creating simple magnetron emitter / using microwave oven

hello everybody


i've tried to create microwave emitter using microwave oven (see pics). however i am not able to make it work.

i would like to know how i should do wiring in correct way so that everything works fine.

This is a very dangerous project. The input voltage to the magnatron is somewhere around 5600V and you're discharging high energy microwaves into the room as the box is not sealed. This can cause serious injury, blindness and interference with electronic devices. What are you hoping to accomplish?

This is a very dangerous project.
I'll echo that.

A magnetron generates radio waves. It must be contained in a metal enclosure.... not wood.
The cavity that the magnetron is connected to must be resonant with the tube.
That would take specialized formulas to determine.

Read on pages 5-9 to see what NASA has to say about exposure to microwave radiation. Some specific dangers that I think most men would be very concerned about.

hi everybody

i am aware of dangerous microwaves... although i am much more afraid of faulty magnetron...

however

since i am not electrician i would like that somebody explain to all of us how one should do the wiring thing so that the device works.
