Untagged 3 way switch

Hello! I had an electrician do all the rough wiring in my house and I'm doing finish. I'm installing some three way switches and in all the tutorials, they say to identify the "tagged wire." my elelctrician didn't tag any wires. Is there a way I can identify the wire that should have been tagged on my own or do I need to have my electrician come back out to do so? Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

Electricians never tag the wires. I never have.

Look for one wire wrapped around two twisted wires. The one wire is the common and the two twisted are the travelers.

Another method is to follow the three wires into the box. The two travelers usually go into the same cable.
