Hot and Ground Reverse when it wants to

Hopefully I'm posting in the right place..and here's my issue, on certain days my electrical outlets do not want to work, I bought a tester and it says that the hot and ground are reversed, on other days the outlets are working just fine and I've tested them and they say the wires are correct. But they change without me doing anything. Hopefully it makes sense and I really appreciate all the help I can get.

If you mean a plug in tester they can be wrong but you need to open the receptacles in question, check the connections, and move any backstabs to the screws.

Hot/ground reverse on a plug-in tester is usually an open neutral (loose white wire). As Ray said, inspect connections on the circuit and correct any loose ones.
