AC cord for computer did this - help!
My computer wasn't charging so i troubleshooted and found that it was the AC adapter cord.
I don't know what the gold things are called, but i took the cord out from the AC adapter and one of them waa stuck to it. I then put out back in and out wouldn't work.

Welcome to the forums.
The contact pins are thermoset into the power cord. They can't be reinstalled. You will need to replace the power cord. It's a fairly common cord and many places should have it.

Yes that is a very standard cord
I have never seen one do that before although I seen a few of those cords with what looked to be 22AWG wiring (That one came with a USB hub I bought on eBay) anyway that cord went right in the trash and I used a 'real' 18AWG one.
I have a boatload of various cables (I am in IT) although more laptop power supplies are using the C5/C6 version
